• Personal data (first and last names, date of birth, address, school-leaving certificate, passport photo)
• Communication data (telephone number, mobile phone number, email address)
• Education data (school, vocational training, studies, doctorate, habilitation)
• Data on previous professional career, training and job references
For what purpose and on what legal basis is your data processed?
The Städelschule processes the personal data of applicants (including correspondence) to ensure that the admission requirements for studying Fine Arts are met, as well as for the anonymous statistical evaluation of the applicant structure. Artistic aptitude is determined on the basis of their portfolio and an aptitude test.
The Städelschule processes personal data in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG), the Hessian Data Protection and Freedom of Information Act (HDSIG), and the Städelschule’s statutes.
Who will have access to my personal data?
Only departments and persons involved in the application process will have access tot he data. These are:
Student Office, Rector’s Office, Chancellor, and the Admissions Committee, which consists of Städelschule professors.
These persons are obliged to maintain confidentiality. No information will be passed on to third parties.
How long will the data be stored?
The aforementioned personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.
The data of persons who are not enrolled will be destroyed or deleted in accordance with data protection regulations by September 30th of the following year at the latest. For a winter semester the data will be destroyed or deleted by March 31 of the following year at the latest (HImV §15).
What data protection rights do you have?
You have the right to free information about your stored personal data (GDPR, Art. 15), its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing as well as a right to rectification, blocking or erasure of this data at any time.
